We deliver within the City of Kelowna. If you are out of our normal delivery area, there may be an additional delivery charge per meal of $1.00 - $2.00. Please contact us for further details. - What time are the meals delivered?
The meals are assembled and sent out at various times to the areas we service. All the meals are delivered between 10:30 am and 1 pm daily. Once you are in a regular delivery schedule our volunteer drivers arrive around the same time each day (give or take 15 minutes). Please note there may be a delay due to weather and special events such as long weekends, holiday traffic, road accidents, etc. - What comes with the meal?
We deliver a three course meal each day which is prepared by our own chef and our qualified staff. The main course will have one protein, two vegetables and a starch with a soup and a dessert included. - What is the cost per meal?
The cost per meal is $7.50 – ($1.00 from each meal go back to our volunteer drivers to assist with covering the cost of gas.) The meals are subsidized on behalf of Interior Health to keep the price affordable for everyone. - Who qualifies for the meals?
The meals are for individuals who are home-bound, have a disability and/or unable to get access to nutritious & delicious meals. In addition, if you have had surgery and unable to prepare a meal at home, you might qualify for the meal delivery service. Please contact our office with your particulars. - Can you make meals that require special dietary considerations?
We can accommodate vegetarian, renal, gluten free, minced, soft and pureed foods. If you have any other special requests, please give us a call and we will see if we can accommodate your requests. - How often do we have to order?
We sign up clients for standard delivery service each week on specific days to provide consistency for our program. A minimum 2 day delivery is required. Contact us for delivery options available in your area. - How do I pay for my meal?
Payment can be made by cheque, credit card, or automatic withdrawal (Please make the cheques payable to Interior Health). To set up credit card or automatic withdrawal from your bank account please contact our billing office in Kamloops at 1-844-868-5200.
We do offer monthly billings. A monthly invoice is sent out at the end of the month reflecting the total meals ordered. Payment is due in full by the 5th day of the month.
